Thanks! It's such a habit that I even do it offline. grin
Cool, thanks for the info. I'm kind of embarrassed because most of the questions I have are about odd, everyday things like that. When I went to France, though, that was what I noticed--different grasses, the different accent of the crows, stuff like that. Again, thanks!
Awesome. $2000 is a bit out of my price range at the mo... Better keep saving. If you're not gigged out after tonight, my friend's band Moonbase is playing at the Tote tomorrow night... should be awes.
Does your flatmate's keyboard have a good piano sound? What kind is it? How much did it cost? I need to get one myself soon...
cheers,
Ben.
I sing, play piano, guitar, clarinet and harmonica, bluff my way past a few other instruments, and play experimental music (home made instruments, found items, converted instruments etc...)
Another Jack-of-all-trades is Jason Webley, a brilliant post-apocalyptic accordion player from who just played in Auckland last week. He's coming through Melbourne this week - I would highly suggest you go:
September 17 - Melbourne, Aus - Corner Hotel with the Dresden Dolls
September 18 - Melbourne, Aus - Corner Hotel with the Dresden Dolls
Septermber 19 - Melbourne, Aus - The Old Bar - 74 Johnson St Fitzroy - $6 - 9 pm
The solo gig will probably be the best (and cheapest), though the Dresden Dolls are always great live...

Yeah.... so.... does that make me a bad person? Anyway, who says wanting to share my works with the people of Melbourne is selfish?
Cheers. Maybe next time I come to Melbourne I could do a gig with your flatmate... (That way I could use their keys... he, he, he...)
Ooohhh.. selfish reasons for voting? Don't know about that. I'll definitely make it to Melbourne at some point in the not toooo distant future... But if I play there it'll only be as my solo project. Coordinating bands to tour overseas is to much work for me. It's tricky though, I always like to play in bars with a piano, and none seem to have one anymore.
If you live in Melbourne, however, you should definitely check out my friend's band Moonbase. They be awes.

I've heard of them, but never eaten one
