now i remember having read many things from asimov, but i can't remember what these things were. short stories, certainly. i remember one where aliens abduce a couple of strangers to try to study mating habits, and one about a planet used a sewage system, where all thrash was sent to recycling, and the family in charge of the work lived in a mansion with all comfort and lusux, but were the lowest in the society for dealing with thrash. i so hate it when i notice that i read good things as a kid and can't remember them anymore!

no, i didn't. i think i've read something when i was a kid, but i don't really remember. but i haven't seen any women in nightfall, and i noticed it yesterday. i'm starting to wonder if i'm reading the right thing, though, because the one i'm reading is only 23 pages long. i wouldn't call it a novel, it's like a short story for me. but then, i like big books.

    I wanna be the leader
    I wanna be the leader
    Can I be the leader?
    Can I? I can?
    Promise? Promise?
    Yippee I'm the leader
    I'm the leader

    OK what shall we do?

  • in Medically speaking, I am too old for this., Magpie says:

I dunno much about rheumatic fever but I do have mitral valve prolapse (a heart murmur according to my dentist... whatever), and the antibiotics before all dental work thing is no longer recommended by the American Heart Association due to the possibility of creating more antibiotic-resistant bugs. Get a second opinion. Plus, can you really be too old to get something? (honestly curious)

Yes, tentatively.... It would depend on such factors as how old you both are to begin with...etc.

  • in Warning Sign or Isolated Incident, Magpie says:

People can change, yes. You must consider the character of the person, their history, and the circumstances.

    But.

Whether or not you can trust them ever again, fully trust them, is the even bigger question. I know myself. If someone cheated on me, no matter how it happened, I would never be able to fully trust them again. Everyone's gotta make up their own mind though, and it's not an easy problem to solve. Give yourself time to think it through.
