Will the "next" generation of people, currently in high school and college plus or minus a few years, be able to succeed at any of the challenges or overcome any of the threatening problems that face our world today? and will they be able to maintain institutions that promote free speech, right to privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties?

This includes things like, nuclear proliferation, instability in the Middle East, overpopulation, HIV/AIDS, poverty, energy crisis, global warming and corruption.
