dear internet,Are you feeling more Willaim Carlos WIlliams http://www.bu.edu/favoritepoem/poems/williams/ or Shephen Crane http://www.cs.rice.edu/~ssiyer/minstrels/poems/196.html
I'm feeling more like both.
That has to be my favorite WCW poem ever. Not whacked-out abstract like the red wheelbarrow, but elusive enough to make you really think about what he's saying.
I prefer Billy Collins, Now he knows how to write for the common man (and woman). I also like Bukowski, even if people say he is a misogynist.
note to those that might be interested.I have changed both of the peoms since I first posting this question the originals were for Crane:A man said to the universe:"Sir I exist!""However," replied the universe,"The fact has not created in meA sense of obligation."and for Williams:so much dependsupona red wheelbarrowglazed with rainwaterbeside the whitechickens.good luck

A man said to the universe:
"Sir I exist!"
"However," replied the universe,
"The fact has not created in me
A sense of obligation."
and for Williams:
so much depends
upon
a red wheel
barrow
glazed with rain
water
beside the white
chickens.
good luck
