re: Best Quality of a Video Game by Boardgamegeek

dear internet,

I've always been interested in designing games. I'm actually studying to go into the game design industry (board or video, it doesn't matter). Yeah, it's a volatile and competitive industry, but I'd regret it if I didn't at least try to do something that I love and feel strongly about. Anyway, I'm curious about what people think is the most important quality in a video game (PC or console).

So my question is: Which aspect of a video game do you feel is more important?

Or to put it another way: if I created games that were strong in one of the below qualities, but weak in the rest, which game do you think would be the most popular?

Naturally it would be best to have all of the below qualities, but you can only choose one.
