dear internet,

I am definitely moving to England in mid September (yay for graduating). Before that, I've got a week in California visiting relatives. That gives me three weekends before I leave. This weekend I am free so far, next weekend I am camping, and the weekend after that will be spent scurrying around looking useful while my mom directs my packing. Should I drive to NYC (12 hours) to pick up a friend who can't afford to fly to Ohio for a job interview? I'd have to rent a car, but she will pay back some of it once she gets a new job. Also, I have some iffy muscles that don't always work well after sitting for long periods of time, which might impede my ability to be alive after a 24 hour drive.

Can you wire her the money to rent a car/get a plane ticket?

    That's a decent idea.

Definitely help her out if you can, but see if somebody else can too.

It's looking like people might pitch in for a ticket. As much as I like driving at night (it's really peaceful), I think it'd be a lot.
