Let's say you majored in anthropology in college, and minored in astronomy. You now live, with your spouse and children, in the "astronomy capital of the US," and are attempting to determine the answer to The Big Question: what now?
At present, there are only two cultural astronomy degree programs and they are both in England. It's a niche field, which means there's no money in it - even less so when you consider the expense of supporting a family in a foreign country for two years.
On the other hand, there is an Indigenous Peoples Law & Policy program offered right in your hometown. It seems like a pretty cool route for an anthropology major and, well, lawyers aren't generally dirt poor.
