dear internet, I'm having an early mid-life crisis. We have about a year to figure out in which direction we want to propel our lives, one of the first things to decide is where to plant our roots. Considering a few things: 1) my very social and extroverted munchkin who will eventually/hopefully have a sibling(s) 2) my love of trees and fresh air 3) a longing for community and significant human interactions 4) blacksmithing, growing herbs/veggies, paper and soap making are our hobbies (granted, that can change - we can learn to do and enjoy other things) 5) long-term financial limitations 6) a need to be politically/socially active. So I ask you, which is the better place to live?
