dear internet,
if you had to play out a horror movie, and you were not the monster, which type of horror movie scenario would you prefer?
bonus points for why...
this does not imply your imminent demise, by the way. just don't wear heels, dont check out the noise in the basement, and know your monsters!

i say, since i cant vote on my own question, zombies. i am a traditionalist, so i go for slow zombies, and really it is just sheer numbers that you have to worry about for the overwhelming factor. i am of the mind that if you are smart and well-prepared enough, you can hole up for a good long time. also, they tend to be the dumbest of all monsters, making them slightly easier to dodge.
Raptors.
I voted Vampires but only if they look like Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and preferably when he couldn't actually bite people because of the chip in his head. I don't like actually scary things, just hot-pseudo-TV-scary .
Sea/Lake monsters. I don't live near the sea or a lake. This gives me a distinct advantage.
I chose vampires since you might be able to reason with them on occasion. That and they can be pretty.
i chose the psycho animals.. like the genetically modified sharks in that stupid movie. only i would know not to jump into the water at inopportune times, thereby getting myself eaten.
Oh Iseult, hot-pseudo-TV-scary is possibly the best thing anyoyone has ever said on dearinter.net!
I picked vampires. Vampires have a section all to themselves in my home library, I guess that says it all?
Psycho stalker. They bleed just like me and there are many suitable weapons applicable to their elimination. I may not have silver bullets or wooden stakes, but I've got this torcher lamp...
laner's argument is good, but I voted for "constructed monster" for exactly the same reason. These guys may be strong, but they're usually not too fast and a bit dim - and they always have a weak spot.
Actually, though, it would be aliens.
hmmm.
How bad would a werewolf be for a littlewolf?
(Is frankly a little glad that partner is coming home later, albeit late, to check for any things which may go bump in the night or untoward noises or, you know, STUFF, including any of laner's above listed options).
