I can't believe how long it has been since I asked a question here . . . in any case, on with the interrogative:

I know the title sounds like something you'd give an oral report on in 3rd grade (What I Did on My Summer Vacation), but I really cannot make up my mind where to go on vacation this summer. Here's my options and reasons:

1. Minneapolis, MN - my hometown, where my brothers and sister live and I lived until about 5 years ago, and where I have quite a lot of great friends whom I miss dearly. Free room to stay in, of course.

2. New York / Brooklyn, NY - Some good friends of mine are having their first baby in May and I would love to visit this summer to help out and meet the new baby. Also, my favorite aunt & uncle live on Long Island, and one of my favorite cousins lives in Manhattan. Again, free lodging. I have been to NY a lot, and have done all the touristy things, but would love to spend a whole day at the Met. Museum, since I haven't gone in many years.

3. Somewhere new and adventurous! But likely expensive, and I'm too broke to go where I most want to go (Germany & the UK, though I would also have someone to stay with in London).

Budget and vacation time are both issues - I don't think I can afford two trips this summer, sadly!
