dear internet,

I bought a lamp that's something of a two-face. Sometimes I love it and think it's perfect, and other times when it catches my eye differently I think I want to return it. What say you, keep or return? Here's a link more background and some video of the lamp doing its thing:

    Well, it don't matter whether I'd like to have one like that (I would not...) but whether you can live with it for a couple of years. Nothing wrong with a bit of gimmick and after years of hating them I have recently come to actually like lava lamps... but if it's your main light, you have to like it still in a couple of months. If you doubt that - return it. If you think you will - keep it, you'll warm to it ('scuse the pun!)

    I love it and I would like to know where you got it... of course I am in college so my taste in furnishings is questionable at best, but it looks like it would complement my blue and white lava lamp very well :)
