Does watching documentaries and contacting the United Nations Refugee Agency only to never hear back from them count? I also hosted people during a conference at my uni about it. I couldn't bring myself to go though. Hearing people talk about it is as futile as watching documentaries about it, especially since I already know what's going on. Oh, and I have now heard that this issue would have resolved itself faster WITHOUT the international attention because I forget which side now thinks they can get what they want if they keep fighting, instead of realizing it's a futile wast of human life. (Also, how can 3 of you not have heard of this? I am very surprised.)

I'm part of a group on my college campus and tomorrow I'll be speaking at a vigil we're holding. I've got butterflies in my tummy, and in this world that doesn't even register as a problem. Wish me luck, though, if you want.
