dear internet,

is it just me, or does it always seem like the later at night a train pulls into the station, the more likely it is that the boarding passengers are from some nondescript slavic or islamic country, carrying with them heaps of dilapidated luggage along with tattered grocery bags and decrepit cardboard boxes full of miscellaneous crap that has no place on a train?

I wish I lived close enough to a slavic or islamic country to observe this, but sadly in my part of the midwest the most interesting people who get off the trains in the middle of the night are tragic artists or over zealous office workers.

tragic artists are tolerable. overzealous office workers smell like musk and coffeeurine.
