dear internet,

I work in customer service, and the astounding bad manners of some (mostly American) people continues to amaze me.

I sell luxury goods - i.e. things NO ONE ACTUALLY NEEDS - yet I get cursed out at least once a week.

If you've worked hospitality/ retail/ customer service before, what do you think the problem is?
