For the past 10 years (my youth! the best years of my life!) I have been studying to become a health care professional. The final phase of the graduate years involves doing an internship - exactly the same thing as a residency for med students.
I sent out 12 applications for internship around the world Nov. 15th. The institutions will tell you by Dec. 15 or 30th (depends on institution) if they want you for an interview. They are under no obligation to tell you if they don't want you.
To date I've had 2 "thanks but not thanks" letters, and nothing else. I've spoken to colleagues who have had many (up to four) invitations for interviews. I am starting to panic, and I fear it will worsen everyday that I hear nothing/get rejection letters. Should I:
