Now that it's the holiday season... do you make a gift list and work from it or wing it?

    I have a list in my head for the people who are easy to shop for, and I wing it when i don't know what to get someone. I'll see something, say "oh, ___ would love that" and just get it... better not to overthink or say "hm that's nice, I'll come back for it if I don't find anything else"-because if you do that it won't be there anymore!

    I live pretty far away from the bigger shops, don't own a car and don't want to overdo internet-shopping, because I want to support local shops. So I absolutely need my list - although it is revised all the time and often ignored completely :-).
