Depends on which band I'm referring too, whether I'm band leader and manager, or on an even par with the others, or a sub-ordinate... Although I'm in several bands, so I normally have to name the band to be more precise....

Yeah, unless you're in multiple bands, it's "the band"

if i was talking to one of the other members (back when i was in one... thanks for letting me relive the glory days) it was the band. if to a lowly outsider, it was my band, cause otherwise how the hell do they know what im talking about?

i guess i'm a giant asshole then! i much more often say "my band" unless addressing someone already in the band. the situation i had in mind is when mentioning one's band to roommates, or people you meet at parties.

the band sounds to megalomaniac. my band sounds just sad to me... I tended to say our band, but that makes me a hopeless, pc, liberal, wet towel, I reckon...
