dear internet,

I know bugger all about this stuff, so I need your help. I've had my mobile phone for almost 4 years, and I'm fed up of it. I'm looking at buying a new phone, but my question is this: will my 4-year-old dual-band SIM card work in a brand spanking new (network unlocked) triband phone?

(I live in the UK, so British-relevant advice is preferred :) )
