i've been to butterfly world! i enjoyed it, but i was also twelve. i'd say take her uptown instead - try Frankenstein's bar - really fun atmosphere.

It depends how well you know her. What if she hates bugs? Butterfly world would then not be a good idea. If you know she's like it, go for it. Otherwise, take her out to dinner and once you get to know her better take her to Butterfly World.

Good point. She might be afraid of all wing-ed insects.

I agree with Catilina, but must add that your idea is a really good one as far as originality goes. Maybe ask if she's ever been, and then if she'd like to go? I know that sometimes a walking-talking date is more fun than a sitting-talking date because it can help eliminate those "alone with you on our first date" jitters.

I agree with Magpie, sounds like a lovely, interesting first date. Of course it depends on the girl, but I much prefer something less formal to begin with.

She doesn't like butterflies and moths. Good job I didn't take dearinter.net's advice then. :-)
