I like spirits - gin and soda water with lime. V. low calorie, perfect for when you're out dancing

I like a fake orangina (because I can't buy orangina around here) that is made with orange juice and some kind of sparkling water. Also, this Belgian beer called Stella is the best beer I've ever had.

Don't make me pick! There's sooo many good ones! It depends hugely on my mood and the time of day...
appleblossombeck: you can't possibly mean Stella Artois? I mean, it's a fine beer, but there's nothing special at all about it! It's just a run of the mill beer. In NZ, they sell it at supermarkets at cheap prices - it's not like Leffe or Chimay from Belgium, or some handcrafted beers, or even mass produced boutique beers! It's a quaffing beer!

Well volpone, I'm not really a beer person so any beer that isn't too hoppy or light or etc etc, seems to me like a gift from heaven. And it's actually hard to find around here, we have to cross over into Ohio to get it. And remember, I do live in America, land of mass-produced crap beers. My godfather makes good beer, but I like his mead way better. What you do is take a couple pork chops and you slice them really thin so they cook fast, and you sautee them with juuust a little olive oil, rosemary, and savory, and then you deglaze the pan with some good, fairly sweet mead and you cook that into a sauce. It is wonderful, I think, and I may think that because I invented it. : )

What, I'm the only one who likes mead? Where are all the other vikings and Anglo-Saxons? I suppose they don't surf the net too much.
