dear internet,
I am writing a detective story for my dad (the genre was at his request) for his birthday. I have a title character fleshed out, but cannot decide on a name. Will you help me?

Who should my androgynous, classic Sci-Fi-loving, brown-haired detective be? Gender is neutral for all intents & purposes (it never comes up in the story). I have a thing for alliteration, but would it be too much?

One day to choose - I have to post the story on Thursday and need time to edit!

Thanks!

    I got your message!

Rhine Reimer amuses me for some reason... but Mackenzie Miller works well for androgynous. It would totally leave the gender in question if that would entertain you. For some reason I think "guy" when I see the name "Mackenzie" instead of girl right away, but whatever.

I just love Mackenzie as a first name, but I'm divided on the Miller part...

I reckon just Reimer on it's own.

Hey dan, I saw your comment and read "Rimmer" instead of Reimer. Now stuck with an image of Red Dwarf's Rimmer as a detective... all deer stalker and flared nostrils...

Oh no! It's a tie between Mackenzie Miller and October Lund - I guess if it stays tied I'll have to choose my favorite . . .
