update

July 25th, 2006

We’ve just added a few new bits to the site. Users can now edit their profiles (including changing email addresses and passwords). We’ve also added a/s/l fields. You can edit your profile by clicking on the “edit profile” link on your profile page.

Also, we’ve added a third question browsing category, hotness. This is a measure of questions that have been popular recently. Check it out at http://dearinter.net/questions/hot.

As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Well we’ve been cut by the double edged sword that is success. Please bear with us while we deal with the 500 errors that are occurring due to server load.

hey all! thanks for using the site, it’s super-exciting that people are voting and clicking all over it! just wanted to let everyone know we’ve got tons more ideas for features coming soon. here’s just a taste:

  • friend-only questions
  • post questions to your blog
  • open-choice questions
  • setting question-voting periods
  • something like “cheers”, “pokes”, or “woos” — maybe “slaps”?

but the most exciting part is that we’re going to use dearinter.net to decide what features to add first to dearinter.net! you’ll be able to vote on what’s most important to you and we will hack away accordingly. i know, that’s pretty meta, man.
anyway, thanks again for clicking, and please keep that feedback flowing, whether here in the blog or privately through our contact form. awesome!
