long time…

It has been a busy month for us here at dearinter.net. Chris had a paper deadline and I’ve had various school things, but really that’s no excuse, so to make it up to you we’re giving you an extra special feature. In addition to the usual fare of bug fixes and small improvements, we’ve released a preview of a secret forthcoming feature. We’ve called it activity and it let’s you quickly and easily see everything that has happened on dearinter.net within the last 24 hours. We think this provides a lot of power to the user, but we also think it is a bit rough, so we’d love feedback before releasing it as a proper feature (with cute icon, etc).

Among other new things, we’ve added an invite form so you can quickly and easily get all of your friends to join the mob of dearinter.net voters.

    about the invite form: what if sent to more than one email address? separate the addresses with ..?

    If you untick bits of the special secret feature, go to look at a comment and then use the back button to go to your list, the ticks are as you left them, but the list has expanded.

    It’s a bit odd.

    I’ve tried the invite form for multiple addresses, and succeeded. Nevermind my previous post (*it’s stupid*)

    Hi Tita, it works in the sense that yes it sends to all of the email addresses, but it sends one group email instead of sending multiple private emails. I’ll fix that with the next update.

    alex and mgaiman: I’ve noticed that when you personalise it, (ie, when one uses activity, but logged on), activity remembers your selection (like if you only selected comments and tags). The only list expansion I’ve noticed, is that it then simply updates the selection (eg: in comments and tags) since one last had a dekko. It also remembers the selected boxes ad infinitum, regardless of how often one logs in and out, whenever activity is used when logged on - very kind of it ;) .

    By the way, to the dearinter team: whole concept, and subsequent updates/improvements - absolutely great and much appreciated! Thank you!
